๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ Thailand

This page is for information related to Thailand specifically.

The situation now:
Designated blood donations as well as donations of your own blood for yourself are possible in some public Thai hospitals. However, they may not welcome you in every single one of them – this is what we will change.
The situation is very tricky due to two facts:
First, there is no open discussion about Covid-vaccines at all in Thailand, and the Thai mentality prevents this from happening. This is why our actions have to be very different from how we approach the situation in western countries.
Second, private hospitals are the ones we would want to approach in the first place, as nobody would want to go to a public hospital in Thailand. But blood donations are only possible in public hospitals, which means we have to make sure private and public ones work together. Not an easy task, but managable. It simply means we need to be patient, everything takes time in the land of smiles.

What WE do:
Our acting plans:
We have a great local team in Thailand, which will establish the most feasible way to reach our goal, the free choice of blood (and blood donor). This will happen through finding medical partners (hospitals, laboratory chains, private practices etc.), and most importantly, by trying to reduce the need for transfusions in general with clear advises for medical staff in our membersโ€˜ living will.
We will approach clinics in Thailand regarding their policies with patients who want to chose their own blood donor, and will publish the results in our member area (under “Medical partner search“).
Our goal is clearly to establish a medical tourism to Thailand, as the Kingdom has a long tradition with medical tourism and some excellent hospitals. However, we will not focus on “unvaxxinated” blood at all, in fact not even mention it, but simply approach it from the fact that there is a big group of potential clients who would like to choose their blood donor, for private reasons.
We will translate the website to Thai language in the long term, and also have the domain name in thai fonts, in order to tear down the language barrier. However, our first target is the local expat community and members from abroad wanting to do their surgeries in Thailand, as the local population does not really have a problem with the vaccines; the conscious ones simply go to small public hospitals, where they can bring their realtives as blood donors without any problems.
A telegram channel for easy information will complement this page soon.
You can search for a donor in the member area under “Search for blood donor“. Please don’t write me an email “is there a blood donor with AB+ in Bangkok?” – you find the answer yourself under the mentioned link.
However, since we just start to approach clinics, the database will not find any clinics in Thailand for now.

What YOU can do:
If you want to join us and help within the team, please contact us.
Spread the word, and most importantly, become a member โ€“ because only together we are strong.

Please note that there are NO blood donation stations set up yet, nowhere in Thailand, as we need medical partners for this purpose first, and most likely will not have a blood bank at all, but rather rely on the direct mediation donor/receiver. Check back here frequently and subscribe to our newsletter (under “Contact”).

One question we often hear is “How much do you pay for my blood?”
We are an NGO and the reward for your blood donation is to know that you will also get uncontaminated blood once you will need it. So no, we don’t pay – we are “members taking care of members”, a community aware of a huge threat to our health – we are not “blood dealers”. We can and will never make a business with your blood. So the label “SafeBlood” will be a brand you can trust. Other private labs will buy your blood – and sell it to the cosmetic and rejuvenation industry. If you don’t mind, sell your blood there. If you want to save lives, stick to us.

A successful donation story from one of our members: Celebrating Safe Blood, Celebrating Generous Friends

18. January 2023 by admin Leave a Comment

A touching story about one of our members who prepared well for an upcoming surgery – with relatives and Safeblood members on standby. She posted it on Facebook and allowed us to share it here as well. Thank you Janaia – you are a role model.

(Photo left to right: One of the technicians, Rhondaโ€™s husband Peter, Rhonda, me, my sister, and a second phlebotomist, holding the donated units of blood.)

“In anticipation of my upcoming hip replacement surgery at Stanford University Medical center, I declined to sign the blood transfusion agreement, requesting that I receive blood from people who had not received the C-19 so-called โ€œv*ccinations.โ€While waiting for the surgeonโ€™s reply, I did two things to procure un-polluted blood. First, my biological sister Terry, my soul-sister Rhonda, and my good friend Bill, all having the universal donor blood-type, offered to donate.Secondly, a friend gave me a link to safeblood.us, a Switzerland-based network linking donors and recipients of unj@bbed blood. I immediately registered and received in return contact info for about a half-dozen compatible donors living near me in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

After turning to risk management, the surgeon agreed and issued an order for two units to be donated at Stanfordโ€™s Blood Center. We had only two days in which to donate! Everyone quickly sprang into action and made room in their schedules. The next day, we rendezvoused at the Stanford Blood Center. Rhonda and husband Peter drove over 150 miles to be thereโ€” now that is a seriously generous friendship indeed!

As our departing thanks, Rhonda, Terry and I sang for the entire staff a Threshold Choir song, โ€œSo Many Angelsโ€ฆall around meโ€ฆ.So many Angels, itโ€™s you I seeโ€ and โ€œThe Healing Waterโ€. We all were in a joyous mood, and delighted to share that celebration with those in the Blood Center, who work so hard to help save lives.

As it turns out, I didnโ€™t need the Safeblood referrals, but I am eternally glad they were there. Now I am extending this opportunity to you: if you have not received a jab and want to help others, register with safeblood.net. And if you know someone needing surgery or who may need blood products, encourage them to ask for unv*xxed blood, and help them find donors in the network. The network lists not only individuals but also cooperating medical facilities. Letโ€™s expand the Safeblood network world-wide to help others stay safe and healthy.

P.S. Regardless of whether or not you are v*xxed, a blood transfusion from someone not v*xxed may be much easier for your body to accommodate than otherwise. Data are showing high levels of micro-clots after jabs, which is the last thing you want!”
